2009 Public Budget Hearing

The Public Budget Hearing on the proposed 2009 budget for the Town of Sampson was called to order by Chairman Butterfield at 7:00 P.M. Supervisor Gutsch and Haller and 1 guest (Rick Plummer) were in attendance. Notices were placed in the three designated areas and the Bloomer Advance. Copies of the proposed budget were made available to all attendees. Chairman Butterfield stated that in preparing the 2009 town budget the Board did not exceed the levy limits set by the State, which was $261,327.

The proposed totals are as follows:

Expected Expenditures.……..…$471,980

Less Expected Revenues…..…-$210,655

Proposed Town Levy….……...$261,325

Chairman Butterfield, Supervisor Haller, Supervisor Gutsch and Clerk Reed answered various questions.

A Motion was made by Supervisor Gutsch and seconded by Supervisor Haller to adjourn the Public Hearing. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 P.M.

Special Meeting of the Electors

19 November 2008

A Special Meeting of the Electors in the Town of Sampson was called to order

by Chairman Butterfield at 7:11P.M. Supervisors Gutsch and Haller, Clerk Reed and 1 guest were in attendance. Notices were posted in the three designated areas and in the Bloomer Advance. The purpose of the meeting was to approve the total 2009 Highway expenditures and to adopt the 2009 town levy.

A motion was made by Supervisor Haller and seconded by Supervisor Gutsch to approve the total 2009 highway expenditures of $260,115. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Supervisor Haller and seconded by Supervisor Gutsch to adopt the 2009 town levy of $261,325. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Supervisor Gutsch and seconded by Supervisor Haller to adjourn the Special Meeting of the Electors. All present voted aye. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
